I’m currently testing the latest release of Windows Embedded, called Windows Embedded Standard 7. You can download a RC copy to test it yourself.
WES 7 is the next Windows Embedded release which is built on Windows 7. In the Image configuration editor i could not find any way to disable all system sounds, including the newly introduced boot sound.
If you like to disable all system sounds, and remove the complete scheme, copy and paste the text below in a .reg file, add it to the .wim file which is installed during setup and add a SynchronousCommand to the FirstLogonCommands in your answer file. The command should be something like: %windir%\regedit.exe /S “X:\path\to\your.reg”.
